Materials Inventory Control Supervisor needed for one the world's most
DYNAMIC Off Shore Drilling Companies! Exceptional compensation and benefits package, beautiful office and lots of team building activities. Accountable for planning, organizing, and coordination of inventory and capital spares procedures, records, and storage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Directs day to day activity for Material Coordinators and NABU warehouse personnel.
2 Manage the process of disposition of inactive capital equipment in a prudent cost effective manner.
3 Monitor and inform Manager Materials with regards to Business Units compliance with MP&P.
4 Maintain all Pool, Project and NABU capital spares in a ready to use status. Demonstrate PM records.
5 Prepare minimum and maximum recommendations for equipment for domestic and overseas rigs.
6 Accurate and timely management reports on company inventory and capital spares.
7 Maintain and develop corporate catalog in People Soft.
8 Maintain and manage NABU inventory, Capital spares, warehouse and storage yard facility.
9 Set safety and performance goals for warehouse and yard facility.
10 Perform on call responsibilities for the Broussard yard and warehouse facility,
11 Identify and control Materials records in conjunction with Corporate standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accountable for the supervision of Material - Coordinators under this positions and warehouse personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Four years College, Business related degree and three to five years drilling contractor or petroleum industry supplier.
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office products.
Proficient in oral and written communications.
Ability to speak before large gathering of operations personnel or peer groups.
Knowledge of drilling equipment used by drilling contractors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Percentages, Graphs, Spreadsheet Formulas
REASONING ABILITY: Logistics: method and mode of transport, geographic areas, pricing.
Material substitution.
Negotiation techniques.
Supply chain management.
Material warehousing and handling methods.
Requirements: - 3+ years Materials and Purchasing experience - 3+ years Inventory control experience - 3+ years oil and gas experience - Drilling experience, including familiarity with drilling equipment (REQUIRED) - People management - Comfortable speaking to groups - Bi-lingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) MANDATORY!! – Computer proficient (especially with MS Office products such as Excel) - Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft - Bachelor's degree minimum

Comments
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of IT experience/knowledge. This position will ultimately be promoted to Director level in a very short period of time. Travel will be minimal but will require some. Master's degree is highly preferred.
