Linnies are also known as llineolated parakeets, although they seem more closely related to the larger parrots, since they have short tail feathers and can eat their food with their talons. These are wonderful, rare little birds, and make wonderful companions. If you want to know more about them search "pampered pets linnies" to find out more. (This breeder no longer sells linnies, but has left up her web page about this wonderful little bird.) I am having to sell one of my linnies because - unfortunately - in the bird world three is a crowd! This little female green linnie was handfed and handtamed, and could be handtamed again, but she has been with the other two birds, so she isn't as interested in humans right, now. Linnies are very sweet and quiet, and make the cutest sounds. They can walk straight along a perch like a girl on a balance beam, and they perch in a horizontal position and hang like bats when misted. They are very cute and unusual birds.
